[18-NOV-2020:  Updated for Oracle Database 19c Now Certified with EBS 12.2 and 12.1 for Oracle Solaris on x86-64]

Since we first blogged about the certification of EBS 12.2 with Oracle Database 19c in September 2019, we have announced a number of additional certifications. This blog article provides a consolidated view of these updates. 

Note: The source of truth for certifications is maintained on My Oracle Support. If in doubt, always check the Certifications database for the final word.

Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 with Database 19c

1. Certified Platforms

The Certified Platforms list includes items that have been explicitly certified by EBS development.

Linux x86-64

  • Oracle Linux 7.4 Update 4 (7.4) or later
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.5 Update 5 (7.5) or later
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP3 or later

Linux on IBM Z

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12

Oracle Solaris (SPARC systems, 64-bit)

  • Oracle Solaris 11.4 or later
  • Oracle Solaris 11.3  or later

Oracle Solaris on x86 (64-bit) (database tier only)

IBM AIX on Power Systems

2. Supported Database Features and Options

The Supported Database Features and Options list includes items that are supported but not explicitly certified by EBS. Our general policy is that the Oracle Database generic documentation applies to these features and options, even if we haven’t certified them specifically.

  • Advanced Compression
  • Database In-Memory
  • Database Partitioning
  • Native PL/SQL Compilation
  • Oracle Application Express (APEX)
  • Oracle Label Security (OLS)*
  • SecureFiles
  • Virtual Private Database (VPD)*

Note:

*There are special considerations for Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 and the required edition-based redefinition database feature as follows: 

  • For OLS, monitor this blog for updated guidance 
  • For VPD, refer to Developing and Deploying Customizations in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 (MOS Note 1577661.1)
