As a follow-up to a prior announcement, Oracle Database 19c is now certified with E-Business Suite Release 12.2 (12.2.3 and higher) for Linux on IBM Z (previously known as IBM: Linux on System z) as a ‘database tier only’ platform. The 19c operating systems certified for this platform are:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) version 7
- SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) version 12
This is a ‘database tier only’ (also known as a ‘split tier’ configuration) certification where the application tier must be on a fully certified E-Business Suite platform – see My Oracle Support’s certification page for more information. IBM’s Z systems fully support a mixed platform architecture with distributed Unix and Linux certified application tier servers for customers looking to run E-Business Suite on IBM Z systems.
For EBS 12.2 and Database 19c, the following are the remaining pending platform certifications:
- Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit)
- Oracle Solaris on x64 (64-bit)
The remaining pending platform certifications will be announced in the future as they become available. You may monitor or subscribe to this blog for the latest in certification announcements.
