Understanding and Managing Licensing Options in Oracle E-Business Suite

License Manager is a utility that registers additional products, country-specific functionalities, and languages for your Oracle E-Business Suite system. Application products that you use after the initial installation must be registered as active in order to be included in various system maintenance tasks.

This document came at the perfect time for many of us upgrading to R12.2.x. With the new tech stack, new functional modules/features and just plain new look and feel, this is a great time to review what's licensed, what's not and what needs to be done.

After browsing the R12.2 Setup document yesterday, I was planning on composing an email to our sales rep but I'm going to read your document first. You can't have enough information when you talk to sales...:-)
