This is the sixth installment in a series of blog articles to highlight recommended security guidelines and features for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS). In this installment, the importance of using the Secure Configuration Console and adhering to the secure configuration guidelines for EBS is highlighted.
Use the Secure Configuration Console
To help you review the most critical security configurations in your environment, you can use the Secure Configuration Console. This tool offers a centralized dashboard that allows you to assess whether your Oracle E-Business Suite environment meets key secure configuration guidelines.
Using the Secure Configuration Console dashboard, you can:
- Check the high priority secure configuration items in your environment
- Review and implement secure configuration recommendations where applicable
- Click to automatically configure some checks in the console
- Suppress checks that are not relevant to your system

The Secure Configuration Console is available as of Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.6. The latest version of the Secure Configuration Console is available with EBS RUP 12.2.15 or ATG PF Delta 14 or the January 2026 EBS CPU.
Tip: Don’t delay. Use the Secure Configuration Console today to assess your environment.
Review and Implement Secure Configuration Recommendations
The Oracle E-Business Suite Security Guide features a section on Secure Configuration. It is important to review and implement the secure configuration recommendations outlined in this guide. These recommendations cover all components of the EBS technology stack, as well as EBS-specific security guidelines and features.
While many of the items are automatically configured and the Secure Configuration Console can help assess compliance with many of these recommendations, you should also review the documentation thoroughly to ensure compliance with all guidelines.
