    Hi Steven,

What about certification of Oracle 12c Database with EBS R12.2.2 ? I do not see it certified in the certification tab of My Oracle Support. R12.2.2 is certified with 11.2.0.3 only for now.

    Hello Steve
Is 12C database also certified OOD use.

Our implementation of EBS is configured on OOD.

    Thank
    Dinesh

Posted by Dinesh on November 24, 2013 at 03:07 AM PST #

    Hello, Dinesh,

Does "OOD" refer to "Oracle On Demand"? There are no separate certifications for Oracle On Demand. If a particular combination (e.g. EBS 12.1.3 + Database 12.1.0.1) is certified by EBS Development, then it can be deployed anywhere, including in Oracle On Demand environments.

    Hi Steven,

Is it certified to run Dev/Test 12.1.3 instance in 12c multi-tenant configuration?

    Subhash,

Thank you for the inquiry. The multitenant database feature delivered with Oracle Database 12c is not currently certified for any Oracle E-Business Suite version. Please continue to monitor this blog for the latest in Oracle E-Business Suite certification announcments.

    Hi Steven,

We have noticed that Certify is stating that Data Guard is NOT certified at all with 12c 12.1.0.1, not Data Guard nor Active Data Guard, yet this contradicts your blog post above.

Oracle SR 3-8501507101 was raised and they stated the same as Certify - Data Guard 12.1.0.1 not certified with 12.1.3.

Can you please clarify 12c (12.1.0.1) Data Guard / Active Data Guard certification with Oracle EBS 12.1.3?

    Thanks,
    Gareth

Are there any notes around expected performance issues post upgrade t database 12c and what actions ( patches etc ) can be taken to prevent any unforseen issues.

Apart from notes around interoperability patches and recommended init parameters on database 12c, I have not come across any other relevant notes .

    Please suggest.

    Amith,

Thank you for the inquiry. You do not need to search for additional notes or updates. All recommendations are accounted for in the interoperability and intialitzation parameter My Oracle Support knowledge documents for R11i and R12 as follows:

We are still waiting for the Oracle 11.2.0.4 and 12.1 database certification on Windows X64. Can you at least tell me what quarter it is planned for. I am surprised it hasn't been certified by now since other platforms have been for months.

    Hi Steven,

Is there a separate EBS certification for the Exadata platform or should the certification against Linux x86_64 be construed as applicable for Exadata too ?

I am trying to assess whether E-Business Suite 12.1.3 is certified to run against database 12c on Exadata hardware ?

    Will appreciate your inputs.

    Steven,

    Thanks for a quick reply.

My question was on the back of a feedback provided by an Oracle Ace Director to the same query posted on MOS community post at https://community.oracle.com/thread/3604295 wherein the feedback was that "12c is not certified against EBS on Exadata" and the advise was to keep watching your blog.

From your response, should I take it that EBS 12.1.3 is infact certified against database 12c on Exadata ?

    Regards,
    Rakesh

Posted by Rakesh Tripathi on September 04, 2014 at 09:29 AM PDT #

    Rakesh,

It is necessary to refine Srini's statement:

EBS does not need to be "certified" on Exadata. See:

Running E-Business Suite on Exadata V2
    https://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/entry/e-business_suite_exadata_v2

    E-Business Suite 11i, 12.0, and 12.1 are certified with Database 12.1.0.1.

E-Business Suite 12.2 will be certified with Database 12.1.0.1 soon.

Is Multi Tenant feature of Oracle Database 12c is certified for E-Business Suite 12.1.3. We are planning to upgrade Oracle database from 11.2.0.4 to 12c by continuing EBiz at 12.1.3.

    Guys

Its a year since the 1st EBS certifications were announced on 12C database.

Theres still no sign of anything for HPUX, AIX etc.

I know I wont get a date as "Oracle's Revenue Recognition rules prohibit us from discussing certification and release dates" but a year (and counting) really is a long time.

Is Oracle Database 12.1.0.2 is certified with EBS 12.1.3. Just seen from MOS.

    For one EBS release. See:

    https://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/entry/12_1_0_2_db

I've published a one-page summary of all of the latest E-Business Suite techstack certifications externally here:

That listing summarizes the official CERTIFY database on My Oracle Support. The CERTIFY database is the official and authoritative reference for all E-Business Suite certifications.

    Hi Steve,
We are planning on migrating to Oracle Database 12c (from 11.2.0.3) and EBS 12.2.x (from 12.1.3). I have cheked the certification, Oracle Dataguard 12c is not certified for EBS 12.2. Can you clarify if indeed this is correct? I see that EBS 12.1.3 is certified for Oracle DG 12c. Can you specify the reason why EBS 12.2 is not certified (I am assuming it's just DB replication)?

    Thanks

    Hi Steven,
The below mentioned Oracle Supoort Note indicates that Oracle DataGuard can be used with EBS 12.2.x and Database 12c. Can you please confirm if this is indeed correct?

Using Active Data Guard Reporting with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 and Oracle Databases 11g and 12c (12.1.0.1 and 12.1.0.2) ( Doc ID 1944539.1 )

    configuration:
    Operating System: IBM AIX 7.1
    Oracle EBS: 12.2.x
    Database: 12c RAC/ASM

Posted by Srinu on February 06, 2015 at 04:16 PM PST #

    Srinu,

Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.x is certified with Oracle Database 12.1.0.1
Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.x is certified with Oracle Database 12.1.0.2

    Note:
    - There may be some platforms that are not currently certified.
    - Please be sure to check the My Oracle Support (MOS) Certification tab for the latest in certified combinations.

Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.x is NOT currently certified with Data Guard 12.1.0.1 nor Data Guard 12.1.0.2. Both are currently pending certifications. Oracle revenue recognition policies prohibit us from providing time lines for future projects and certifications.

As previously stated, please check MOS Certifications tab for the most current certification information.

    Hi Steven,

Do we have a date yet for Oracle EBS R12.1.3 certification on RHEL 7?

    Thanks,
    Ganapathy.

Posted by guest on March 24, 2015 at 08:04 AM PDT #

    Ganapathy,

We do not plan to certify Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 or 12.2 with Oracle Database 12.1.0.1 on RHEL/OL 7. The minimum database version for certification with RHEL/OL 7 and Oracle Database 12c is 12.1.0.2.

We are currently in the process of certifying Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 and 12.2 with Oracle Database 12.1.0.2 on RHEL/OL 7. Oracle revenue recognition policies prohibit us from providing dates on future projects and certifications.
