We're excited to announce our seventh monthly Release Update!
Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c Release 4 Update 7 (188.8.131.52), RU7 for short, is now available for download from My Oracle Support > Patches & Updates.
Release Updates Details
Release Updates (RUs) are a way to roll out new EM features and bug fixes quickly, without waiting for a major release. Release Updates are versioned with a trailing digit indicating the RU version. Note that RUs are cumulative, which means that the most recent RU includes functionality from all previous release updates. Our general recommendation is to apply the most current Release Update as soon as possible.
Key Updates in RU7
Functionality added or enhanced in Oracle Enterprise Manager 13.4 RU7 includes a brand new interface for guided database migrations, ability to save compliance violations reports, updates to the management interface for the Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance (ZDLRA), and changes to the Automatic Indexing Activity Reports. Here are the highlights:
Database Migration Workbench: A new Database Migration Workbench interface is now available to easily guide you through moving your database workloads to Oracle Cloud, by automating and organizing all the database migration phases and associated tasks.

You can now perform database migrations to the Oracle Autonomous Database more efficiently and with improved accuracy. The Database Migration Workbench is integrated with the Autonomous Database Schema Advisor, to analyze your source schemas, identify differences that may exist when objects are created in an Autonomous database, and allow you to correct incompatibility issues before the migration process is even started. During migration, you can monitor the progress in real time and view the details of each step. Once a migration completes, you can analyze and optimize the performance of the newly migrated database and take full advantage of the unique availability, performance, and security of the Oracle Autonomous Database!

Other key updates in this release:
Compliance Dashboard Violations Reports: Administrators can now access a full report of all the violations for each target for a particular standard, directly from the Compliance Dashboard.

Predefined Monitoring Template for Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance (ZDLRA) Targets: If you are monitoring ZDLRA, you can use a predefined monitoring template and automatically apply the Oracle recommended Warning and Critical threshold values for the key ZDLRA metrics. In addition, a non-RA Administrator EM user can now have read-only access to the ZDLRA administration and monitoring pages.
Enhancements to the Automatic Indexing Activity Report for Autonomous Databases as well as Oracle Exadata Database Machine: Automatic Indexing Activity Reports for these target types now include options to generate a report in HTML format with graphical representations of various details. For more details on what is available new in these reports, see the New features in Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c Release 4 Update 7.
