Regular readers of this blog know that we have three reference tools that are essential for every E-Business Suite upgrade:

  1. File Comparison Report (Note 1446430.1)
  2. Data Model Comparison Report (Note 1290886.1)
  3. Seed Data Comparison Report (Note 1327399.1)

These tools allow you to generate a report of the differences between one EBS release and another for specific EBS products.

For example, you could use the Data Model Comparison to get a list of EBS 11.5.10.2 database objects that were updated in EBS 12.1.3 for Bill of Materials (BOM):

The latest File Comparison Report now allows you to compare the following release combinations:

 

  • EBS 12.1.3 with 11.5.10.2
  • EBS 12.2.2 with 11.5.10.2, 12.0.6, 12.1.3
  • EBS 12.2.3 with 11.5.10.2, 12.0.6

The latest Data Model Comparison Report now allows you to compare the following release combinations:

  • EBS 12.1.3 with 11.5.9, 11.5.10.2, 12.0.4, 12.0.6, 12.1.1, 12.1.2
  • EBS 12.2.2 with 11.5.10.2, 12.0.6, 12.1.3
  • EBS 12.2.3 with 11.5.10.2, 12.0.6, 12.1.3, 12.2.2

The latest Seed Data Comparison Report now allows you to compare the following release combinations:

  • EBS 12.1.3 with 11.5.10.2, 12.0.6, 12.1.3
  • EBS 12.2.2 with 11.5.10.2, 12.0.6, 12.1.3
  • EBS 12.2.3 with 11.5.10.2, 12.0.6, 12.1.3, 12.2.2
