JDeveloper 10g Certified on Windows 10 for EBS 12.1

Steven Chan
Senior Director

Jdeveloper logoJDeveloper 10g is now certified for Windows 10 desktops for Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.  See:

When you create extensions to Oracle E-Business Suite OA Framework pages, you must use the version of Oracle JDeveloper shipped by the Oracle E-Business Suite product team. The version of Oracle JDeveloper is specific to the Oracle E-Business Suite Applications Technology patch level, so there is a new version of Oracle JDeveloper with each new release of the Oracle E-Business Suite Applications Technology patchset.

This Note lists the JDeveloper with OA Extension updates for EBS 11i, 12.0, 12.1, and 12.2:

Pending Certification

Our certification of JDeveloper 10g on Windows 10 for EBS 12.2 is still underway.

Oracle's Revenue Recognition rules prohibit us from discussing certification and release dates, but you're welcome to monitor or subscribe to this blog. I'll post updates here as soon as soon as they're available.

So is it or isn't it certified? Title states...

JDeveloper 10g Certified on Windows 10 for EBS 12.2

But under the section Pending Certification...

Our certification of JDeveloper 10g on Windows 10 for EBS 12.2 is still underway.

    Hello, Guest,

Sorry -- the title had a typo (now corrected). This is certified for EBS 12.1 only today. The EBS 12.2 certification is still underway.

Thanks for all that you do Steven. we are currently rolling out windows 10. I understand from your comments above that oracle applications 12.1.3 on Linux will work with windows 10 - correct? our forms are on 10.1.2.

which IE browers are certified with the above configuration?

  • Steven Chan Wednesday, January 24, 2018
    Hi, Marvin,

Windows 10 clients are certified with EBS 12.1.3, regardless of the server-based operating system for the EBS application tier or database tier servers.

See this article for general details about Windows 10:

As noted in the article, Windows 10 comes packaged with IE 11. IE 11 is certified with EBS 12.1.3.

    Hi, Mike,

Not yet. We're working with the JDev team on this particular combination. I'll post a new blog article with updates as soon as they're available.

The note 277535.1, says JDev/12.1 on Win10 is still in progress

    Windows 10 Users
The certification of JDeveloper OA Extensions 10g on Windows 10 for Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 and 12.1 is currently in progress.

Note last updated Feb 9, 2018. So what is the deal? Trying to get support on Win10 and they are telling me JDev is not certified.

How can I get updated about the certification issue date?
  • Tim Mervyn (Oracle Development) Tuesday, March 5, 2019
There is still an outstanding bug issue around Windows 10 with EBS 12.2 that is hindering the final certification of this combination. Once we get further updates from the development team we can provide additional information through this blog article.

Is there any news for 12.2 and windows 10? With windows 7 loosing its support it would be nice to be able to compile with Jdev 10g on windows 10.....

Here is a small confusion about JDev versions with EBS 12.1.3
In line with the document Doc ID 416708.1 for R12.1 we have generally Jdev ver. 10g which should be mandatory (?).
A now, what we can see in Oracle® E-Business Suite Integrated SOA Gateway Developer's Guide for R12.1. There are a few screenshots with JDev ver. 11.1.16 in "Creating a Project with a Java Class" (https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18727_01/doc.121/e120/65/T511473T634173.htm). So, as I mantioned there is a small inconsistency.
Obligatory should be 416708.1 but life ...
