Database 12.1.0.2 Certified with E-Business Suite 12.2

I’m pleased to announce that 12.1.0.2, the first patchset for the 12c Database, is now certified with E-Business Suite 12.2.2 and higher.

*This is a 'database tier only' or 'split tier configuration' certification where the application tier must be on a fully certified E-Business Suite platform.

    What about dataguard (and active dataguard that you previously said was not yet certified ) ?

    i am also confused because the certification matrix said database 12c 12.1 is already certified which includes 12.1.0.2 unless you assume 12.1.0.2 is to all intents and purposes 12.2 which it probably is and should have been labelled as such seeing the amount of new features. Anyway why is this a separate certification then ?

    That belies the previous announcement that 12.1 is certified...

    Guest, Thanks for the inquiries. I apologize in advance as this is a long reply; however, I think it includes some additional information regarding the E-Business Suite and database certification process that is beneficial to share with you and our readers. I’m going to start by addressing your base database certification announcement question first.

    RESPONSE>> Oracle E-Business Suite performs certifications with Oracle Database major releases and patchsets. For example:

    Oracle Database 11gR2: 11.2.0.1, 11.2.0.2, 11.2.0.3, 11.2.0.4

    Oracle Database 12c: 12.1.0.1 , 12.1.0.2

    Not all combinations of EBS versions are certified with all Oracle Database major releases and patchsets. Which combinations are certified is dependent upon EBS and database support timelines, release dates, baseli
