We are pleased to announce that Oracle VM Templates for Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.4 for Exalogic are available for download from the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud:
These VM templates can be imported into the Enterprise Manager Ops Center to deploy E-Business Suite Linux 64-bit environments on Exalogic servers. Note: The Exalogic Elastic Cloud platform is optimized for the application tier. We recommend that you run databases that experience heavy loads (such as User Acceptance Tests or Production databases) on a machine dedicated for that purpose. Usage Tips
An Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2.4 for Exalogic installation requires one template for the database tier and another for the primary application tier. First, choose either the VISION Demo Database template (for a fully-configured demonstration system with sample data) or the Production (PROD) Database template for an empty instance ready for configuration and production deployment. Then choose the Application Tier template. You can optionally use the Sparse Application Tier template to add a secondary application tier to your new installation or to an existing farm. Sparse Application Tier templates are small Oracle VM templates that contains an operating system. Secondary application tiers can be used for EBS web, application, and batch servers.
Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2.4 VM templates utilize the base Oracle Linux image (OL) 6.5, which requires Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software (EECS) July 2014 PSU version 2.0.6.1.2 or 2.0.6.0.2 or higher for Exalogic Virtual platforms (Note 1937272.1).
The Vision Demo Database Tier and Production (PROD) Database Tier templates include the following:
