Another day, another database certification from our Applications Platforms Group. Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i (11.5.10.2) is now certified with Oracle Database Server 11gR1 version 11.1.0.7 on Microsoft Windows x64 (Windows Server 2003).
This is a database-tier only certification (also known as a "split configuration database tier" certification) where the application tier must be on a fully-certified E-Business Suite 11i platform.
Still Underway
The validation of Real Application Clusters (RAC) for Apps 11i with the 11gR1 11.1.0.7 database on Windows x64 is in progress. I don't have firm schedules for this certification yet, but you're welcome to monitor or subscribe to this blog for updates.

Hi!,
I am looking at note 452783.1. Since 11.1.0.7.0 for windows CD is available for download - Do we still have to install 11.1.0.6.0 and apply 11.1.0.7.0?
Is there a Examples (formerly companion) CD for 11.1.0.7.0.

Hi, Zia,
Note 452783.1 states that you can upgrade your EBS 11i environment to 11.1.0.7 without going through 11.1.0.6 first.
I'm afraid I'm not familiar-enough with the database packaging vehicles to answer your question about the Examples/Companion disk. You might need to log a formal Service Request against the Database product for that one.
