Firefox 2 Not Long For This World

Computerworld reports that Firefox 2.0 is expected to get two more updates before it is officially retired at the end of this year.  After that time, Firefox 3 will be the only Mozilla release to receive patches and updates.

Our certification of Firefox 3 on Windows-based desktops connecting to the E-Business Suite is currently underway.  While this certification is going well overall, we have identified a few issues that require updates to our OA Framework UIX layer.  Our Applications Technology Group is working on those fixes right now.  I expect that we'll release our Firefox 3 certification for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i and 12 once we've had a chance to test these latest patches.

You're welcome to monitor or subscribe to this blog for updates, which I'll post as soon as soon as they're available.
