IBM AIX 6 Certified for Apps 12

Catching up on some certifications made during our blogging hiatus, here's another important platform announcement: Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 is now certified on IBM AIX 6 (Version 6.1). Note that new installations of EBS R12 on AIX 6 require version 12.0.4 with an updated Rapid Install startCD. For details, see:

HIrdejit,

Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 is not certified with the 11g Database yet. We're working on this certification right now.

I don't have firm schedules for this certification yet, but you're welcome to monitor or subscribe to this blog for updates, which I'll post as soon as soon as they're available.

Steven

I got FRM-92101 error when I logon ebs and openned a form after installing ebs 12.1.1.

Hi, Daniel,

I've asked our Applications Platforms Group to shed some light on this one. Stay tuned -- we'll get an answer to this quickly, I hope.

Hi, Daniel,

Our Applications Platforms Group confirms that the 12.1.1 Interoperability and Upgrade Note (761569.1) states that TL 0, SP4 is the minimum for AIX 6:

IBM AIX (64-bit) 6 (6.1) - technology level 0, Service Pack 4 or higher (> 6100-00-04)

so the version mentioned here (6100-03-01-0921) is covered.

You should check that all other requirements stated in the Note are met. If you're still having issues, your best bet would be to log a formal Service Request via My Oracle Support (formerly Metalink) to get one of our specialists engaged.

Please feel free to forward your Service Request number to me if it gets stuck in the support process for some reason.

Regards,
Steven

Dear Steven,

Customer is installing R12.1.1 in IBM AIX 6.1. The installation went successfully (using rapid-install) as the pre-install and post-install checks had ticks against them. The logs were all also without errors. It was installed on a single node. Two directories /u02/ and /u03/ were created to put in DB and APPs files respectively.

A SR has been created as below :-
SR 3-2255233231: Error duing launching forms in a fresh vision installation

I am also getting error while accessing forms.
(I am using IE8) . When I enable the CSS, i get a different error message and when I disable the CSS, i get a new error message while opening the forms.

With CSS Enabled - FRM-92050 : Failed to connect to the server: /forms/lserverlet:-1
Java Exception
Java io.IOException: Negative content length from http://dbsdbref.unionbankjo.com:8000/forms/frmservlet?

With CSS Disabled - FRM-92101: There was a failure in the Forms Server during start up. This could happen due to invalid configuration.
Java Exception
Oracle.forms.net.ConnectionException.Forms Session failed during startup. No response from runtime process.

Please help.

Thanks,
Ranjit
