I am pleased to announce the availability of an update to the Electronic Technical Reference Manual (eTRM) for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2. This latest solution is being provided now to deliver to you key enhancements to the eTRM functionality.  

What is Included in this Updated eTRM Release?

This update to the eTRM functionality includes a subset of features that we are planning and actively working to deliver.  With this interim release, you will be able to:

  • Search Database Tables and Views
  • Browse Database Objects in FND Dictionary
  • View details of Database Objects – Tables and Views
  • View Diagrams and Reports
  • Generate EBS instance specific Reports

How Do I Obtain and Use this Latest eTRM for EBS 12.2?

With this release, EBS Electronic Technical Reference Manual (eTRM) is available as an EBS application. The eTRM EBS application is avaialble with Patch 33578812:R12.FND.C.

The following steps are a summary of how to install and configure eTRM in your Oracle E-Business Suite instance:

  1. Apply eTRM Patch 33578812:R12.FND.C. It is applicable for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2.3 and onwards.
  2. Assign the Electronic Technical Reference Manual (eTRM) responsibility to application users.
  3. Above authorized users can access eTRM from Oracle E-Business Suite application user interface.
  4. Submit the concurrent program FND Generate eTRM HTML Report to generate the current version of the Tables, Dependencies and Product External Dependencies Reports based on data dictionary in your Oracle E-Business Suite instance. This is a long running backend program, during this time users can access other eTRM functionalities from user interface.
