This blog article is Part 5 of 7 in a series of blog articles covering the roadmap for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 (EBS 12.2) certification with Oracle Database 23ai (DB 23ai).
08-NOV-2024 Update: This blog article was updated with guidance to update to AD-TXK Delta 16.
Since the project to certify EBS 12.2 with DB 23ai has been active for many months now, we can share with you planning guidance.
What Can You Do Now To Get Your EBS Environment Ready for DB23ai?
The following are two things you can do now to get your EBS Oracle 19c Database ready for the upgrade to DB 23ai:
- Enable Unified Auditing – Traditional auditing is desupported with Database 23ai. Unified Auditing is enabled by default. For more information, see Enabling Unified Auditing in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 with Oracle Database 19c or 12c (MOS Note 2777404.1).
- Convert to Case Insensitive PDB Name – Case sensitive PDB names are desupported with EBS and Database 23ai. For more information on how to convert to case insensitive PDB Names, see Implementing Case-Insensitive Pluggable Database Names with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 on Oracle Database 19c Multitenant Architecture (MOS Note 2782130.1).
Update to the Latest AD/TXK Delta
As you plan to get your environment ready for DB 23ai, you should update to the latest AD-TXK Delta. AD/TXK Delta 16 is the minimum required code level for compatibility with DB 23ai. For more information refer to the following:
