Once a database version has been certified for use with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), it is generally supported for use with EBS for as long as Oracle offers error correction support for that database version. In the case of 11gR2 and 12c databases, EBS will continue to support operation through December of 2025 in accordance with the Upgrade Support offerings that are currently available for these database versions.

However, after December of 2025, EBS will discontinue testing and error correction support for the combination of EBS with 11gR2 or 12c databases.  This is necessary so that EBS can make changes to adopt later security standards and take advantage of features that are only available for Database 19c or later.  Even if Upgrade Support becomes available for these database versions for calendar year 2026 and later, EBS will still proceed to adopt dependencies on Database 19c, making EBS code incompatible with 11gR2 and 12cR1 databases.  Customers should not expect that EBS will continue to work with Database 11gR2 or 12cR1 after December 2025.

Most EBS customers have by now completed upgrades to Oracle Database 19c. If you are still running an older Oracle Database release, you should make plans to upgrade to Oracle Database 19c as soon as possible.
