We are pleased to announce that the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.8.0_231 (8u231) on the JRE 8 codeline is now certified with Oracle E-Business Suite Releases 12.1 and 12.2.
This article answers some questions you may have on the subject.
While we strongly recommend that you migrate to Java Web Start now, using Java Web Start is not a prerequisite for using this Java CPU. You should uptake this latest Java CPU regardless of whether you are currently using Java Web Start or Java Plug-in on your client tier.
If you are using Java Web Start and require assistance with applying this CPU, you can log a service request for assistance from the Java Support organization.
