High Availability Configuration for Integrated SOA Gateway R12.2

Oracle E-Business Suite Integrated SOA Gateway (ISG) provides a SOA based infrastructure to provide, consume and monitor web services from E-Business Suite. In Release 12.2, ISG uses SOA Suite and E-Business Suite Adapter for SOAP based Web Services. REST Services provided by ISG do not depend on these external components in R12.2.

High Availability is one of the key requirements when providing web services in enterprise SOA implementations. Oracle recommends using a multi-node configuration to increase fault-tolerance and balance the transactional load in high-volume environments.

Multiple E-Business Suite nodes can be configured with multiple SOA Suite nodes to provide high availability EBS SOAP Services. Oracle recommends using the SOA Suite Enterprise Deployment topology for multi-node configurations. When you deploy public EBS API as SOAP Services, it is deployed in all configured SOA Suite nodes. If a SOA node goes down, EBS SOAP Service requests are handled by the remaining available nodes.
