EBS 12.2.10 with Database 19c VM Virtual Appliance for On-Premises

We are excited to share the news of our latest VM Virtual Appliance on-premises, which contains Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2.10 and Oracle Database 19c. You can download this from the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud.

Use this appliance to create an Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.10 Vision demonstration instance on a single, unified virtual machine running both the application tier and database tier services. 


Use with Oracle VM Manager or Oracle VM VirtualBox

This virtual appliance can be imported into Oracle VM Manager to deploy an Oracle E-Business Suite Linux 64-bit environment on compatible server-class machines running Oracle VM Server. It can also be imported into Oracle VM VirtualBox to create a virtual machine on a desktop PC or laptop.

EBS Technology Stack Components

The Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.10 VM virtual appliance delivers the full software stack, including the Oracle Linux 7.9 (64-bit) operating system, Oracle E-Business Suite, and additional required technology components.

Java Web Start is enabled by default on this latest appliance. Refer to Using Java Web Start with Oracle E-Business Suite (MOS Note 2188898.1) for information about the use of Java Web Start with Oracle E-Business Suite.

REST Services Availability

With Oracle VM Virtual Appliance for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2.10, the required setup tasks for enabling Oracle E-Business Suite REST services provided through Oracle E-Business Suite Integrated SOA Gateway are already preconfigured. This means that Oracle E-Business Suite integration interface definitions published in Oracle Integration Repository, a component in Oracle E-Business Suite Integrated SOA Gateway, are available for REST service deployment.

Note that PL/SQL APIs, Java Bean Services, Application Module Services, Business Service Objects, Open Interface Tables and Views, and Concurrent Programs are all REST-enabled in this VM virtual appliance.

    since 12.2.10 announcement.

    And good news is it is working in Ryzen platform. I had troubles with 12.2.8 and 12.2.9 installation. But this one is good.

    Does VirtualBox error (NS_ERROR_INVALID_ARG (0x80070057) is something common?
    I'm trying various configs / etc - always getting this error, running VirtualBox latest version on Mac with 16G ram and sufficient disk space. VM doesn't give any additional error - just can't get around this. Any hints?

    Yes, I feel it is common but can have many different causes. You can go to: https://forums.virtualbox.org/
    and search the prior questions and answers, and post a new one if desired.

    I imported the OVA 10 times - on Windows and Linux - and never saw that error. Google searches sees to indicate that the error means some unspecified issue with the local filesystem: disk full, lack of permission, existing (partial) files,...
