I am pleased to announce that Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Release 12.2 (12.2.3 or later) is now certified on Oracle Linux 8 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8. The Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel (UEK), which is the default kernel for Oracle Linux, and the Red Hat compatible kernel are both certified.
Installations of EBS 12.2 on Oracle Linux 8 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 require specific patches to the latest startCD prior to installing. You may also be required to apply additional EBS and technology patches or upgrade certain technology components such as the Oracle Database.
Cloning of existing EBS 12.2 environments on Linux to Oracle Linux 8 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 is certified as well with required prerequisite patches.
All requirements, known issues, etc. are noted in the referenced Installation and Upgrade Notes (IUN) My Oracle Support Knowledge document and must be reviewed:

The Certifications page (‘Certify’) on My Oracle Support (http://support.oracle.com) is in the process of being updated with this information.
The certification of EBS 12.1 (12.1.3) on Oracle Linux 8 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 is in progress and will be announced once the project is completed.
