Critical Patch Update for July 2018 Now Available

The Critical Patch Update (CPU) for July 2018 was released on July 17, 2018. Oracle strongly recommends applying the patches as soon as possible.

The Critical Patch Update Advisory is the starting point for relevant information. It includes a list of products affected, pointers to obtain the patches, a summary of the security vulnerabilities, and links to other important documents. 

Supported products that are not listed in the "Supported Products and Components Affected" Section of the advisory do not require new patches to be applied.

It is essential to review the Critical Patch Update supporting documentation referenced in the Advisory before applying patches.

The next four Critical Patch Update release dates are:

  • October 16, 2018
  • January 15, 2019
  • April 16, 2019
  • July 16, 2019

    Mark - my apologies regarding the delay in responding to your post. Unfortunately, I missed the automated update for your comment.

    The certification of Oracle Database 19c with EBS 12.2 and 12.1 is our top priority. The Database 19c certification is more complex than some prior certifications due to changes in support of certain database features, but we are working closely with the database group to resolve open issues.

    We do not plan to certify EBS with Database 12.2 or Database 18c.Database 19c is the "Long Term Support" release of the Database 12.2 line, in the same way that 11.2.0.4 was the Long Term Support patchset on the 11.2 lines. Database versions 12.2 and 18 will have relatively shorter support lives compared to 19c.

    Guest - If I understand your question correctly, you would like to know the cost of the CPU patches.

    CPU patches are provided to you with an an existing support (maintenance) contract with Oracle.
