Oracle XML Gateway uses Oracle Transport Agent (OTA) – a lightweight messaging platform to transmit XML-based business transaction messages over HTTP and Secure HTTP (HTTPS) with trading partners. In general, it supports Server and Mutual Authentication mechanisms for inbound and outbound transactions over HTTPS. Oracle XML Gateway now supports SHA-2 signed certificates and TLS protocol for XML-based transactions in Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 and 12.2.
