Application Management Pack Certified with Enterprise Manager 12cR3

Steven Chan
Senior Director

We released Oracle Application Management Pack last year. At that time, that release was certified with the base release of Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c.

Oracle Application Management Pack is now certified with the latest Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c patchset:  version (a.k.a. "EM 12c Release 3" or "12cR3").

    hi Steven:

from doc 1434392.1: "The Application Management Suite for Oracle E-Business Suite comprises Oracle Application Management Pack for Oracle E-Business Suite, Real User Experience Insight, Application Configuration Console, and Configuration Change Console."

i cannot build a business case to justify the cost of these four products when all i would be using is the 'Oracle Application Management Pack'.

    Hi, Guest,

I can appreciate that. I'm afraid that the Application Management Pack is not available for licencing separately.

You should have a conversation with your Oracle account manager on options for reducing your licencing costs.

    Hi Steven,

We are using AMP with Enterprise Manager 12cR2. We are using Monitoring templates to monitor EBS metrics. But issue is there is no Metric Reference manual available for EBS metrices. We raised SR 3-7794216901 and get to know that its is an ER Bug 14694800.

Now the situation is we are not able to set correct metrics to monitor alerts as we are short of reference manual. We are having problem with this.

Also when a Pkg is released in Change Management by a Developer its only option is "Public". Thus all the Fellow Developers/DBAs are able to view the pkg and hence the Pkg home page work list is becoming huge. Is there any other to release Pkg to specific users?? We are unable to get this information also.

I’m glad to hear Mazda Motor Corporation is on the latest release of AMP and at the same time sorry to hear about the challenges you’re encountering.

Some good news we are working on the metrics reference manual and will deliver the manual as soon as possible. The issue you have mention with customization manager is an enhancement. Please work with support to file an ER and we will review it.

If you wish to discuss some more please feel free to send me a direct email angelo.raosado@oracle.com

If you are planning on attending Open World please meet us at the demo booth or at our AMP session. For more details see blog article: E-Business Suite Technology Sessions at OpenWorld 2013
