Chrome v84 is now certified as a Windows-based client browser and Android-based client browser for Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 and 12.1.3.
Chrome v84 is certified for both Oracle E-Business Suite web-based (OA Framework/HTML) and Oracle Forms/Java-based interfaces provided the minimum requirements for deployment are met. Since Chrome no longer supports plug-ins, you must migrate to Java Web Start to use Forms-based content in EBS.
Refer to the documentation for the information regarding the minimum requirements:
- Recommended Browsers for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (MOS Note 389422.1)
- Using Java Web Start with Oracle E-Business Suite (MOS Note 2188898.1)
Impact of Cookies Defaulting to SameSite=Lax
Google announced that Chrome will begin to default to SameSite=Lax. Refer to the following for more information regarding the new behavior being introduced: The Chromium Projects: SameSite Updates.
The new SameSite behavior change delivered with Chrome may impact Oracle E-Business Suite iProcurement Punchout functionality. For EBS 12.2 and 12.1 you may enable the SameSite Cookie Attribute or apply additional patches to ensure that iProcurement Punchout continues to function as expected. Refer to the referenced documentation for more details.
