There's been lots of progress on the Java 6 certification front for Apps lately. Java 6 was certified for E-Business Suite Release 11i application tier servers on Solaris, Linux, and Windows in September 2007. Adding to that list of certified platforms, IBM AIX and HP-UX PA-RISC are now certified for Java 6 for Apps 11i.

Hi Steven,
Is iReceivables certified as part of this?
We have recently upgraded to Java 6 on AIX 5.3 and have found that iReceivables does not work under 11i. We have raised SR 7193896.994 and are waiting on the new class files required to get it running.

The JDK certification is generic for all products, but unfortunately in your case you are hitting an Aix specific issue with iReceivables, for which the root cause is being addressed in an Internal bug 6033099. (Strictly speaking, bug 6033099 provides a solution to the root cause, which is actually that IBM JDK works slightly differently.....)
This was previously encountered and discussed in the article http://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/2008/07/j2se_14_endoflife_implications.html but the answer seems to be more complex than originally thought. I will check with the developer again to see
