Sam, I don't know about that; I'll look into it and post an update when I find out more.Regards,Steven

Mark,Sorry to hear that you're having issues with this configuration.  I've asked our Windows certification team for guidance on this issue; I'll post an update here as soon as I hear back from them.In the interim, if you'd like to press on your Service Request (which I see has just been transferred to the Database team), I'd recommend contacting Support and asking to speak with a Duty Manager to escalate this.Regards,Steven

Steven Chan:

Mark, A quick update:  our Windows certification team in Applications Development is scrambling a team to investigate this now.  They'll be coordinating directly with the Support team that's been handling your SR.Regards,Steven

Re: E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 Certification with Windows Server 2003 x64 database.

We have been running EBS on Windows for 10 years (first site live on Windows NT!). We're also a very successful Oracle Reference Site in the UK. Due to a growing user base and memory constraints with 32bit Windows, we have been testing a split configuration and x64 Windows. And basically it doesn't work!! Once you get the 10.2.0.2 database to patch 10 or beyond, then whenever you try and connect from EBS 8.0.6 home's PLUS80.EXE then it crashes the database - instantly. We have SR 6291926.992 running for a month on this and are getting nowhere.

So virtually all 10gR2 x64 database patches released post the certification date (i.e. Patch 10 onwards) simply trash the certification. How can I get this resolved as I'm getting nowhere through Support?

what spported oricle 9 windows server 2003

Hi Steven Chan: ,

We are using Oracle11i(11.5.10.2) with Database 10.2.0.3 on windows 2000 server SP4(32 bit),
we are getting Error ORA-04030 frequently for that we raised SR then they suggested to migrate 64 bit platform,if we select Windows then we have to go split configuration,
My question, is it stable configuration or we have to select other OS?

Thanks
With Regards

Umair

Steven Chan:

Hi, Umair,

I'm a little surprised to hear that Oracle Support is recommending a platform migration. Oracle Support usually doesn't have sufficient benchmarking and performance data about your users' needs to make detailed recommendations about server hardware and platform configurations, so Oracle's usual practice is to refer you to consultants with the expertise to do that kind of sizing and scalability analysis for you.

Would you mind sending me your SR number? I'll ask our Applications Platforms Group to comment on this once we get your SR.

Regards,
Steven

Hi, Rong,

Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i is certified on Microsoft Windows Server 2000 for both the application and database tier components. You can find more details on the My Oracle Support > Certifications tab.
