    Steve:

We actually have EBS 12.1.3 and Application Server 10G (Server version: Oracle-Application-Server-10g/10.1.3.5.0 Oracle-HTTP-Server)

We opened SR 3-12726673511, requesting advice on best way to go with a Reverse Proxy, in order to be able to support SHA2 in our env.

    Support says that:

SHA2 certificates were recently certified with 12.1x Applications and 12.1x require extra patching to allow for SHA2 use. The requirements are given in 376700.1.

I know, according to one of your blogs, that sha_2_signed_pki_certificates, are supported now in EBS 12.1.3, but I understand that is valid only for Fusion MiddleWare, which will require for us to move to Fusion.

On the other hand, Doc ID 1275428.1 (last updated on May 3/2016),states:

Currently THERE IS NO SUPPORT for SHA2 certificates (SHA256 or SHA512) or algorithms in any version of Oracle Application Server 10g (10.1.2/10.1.3/10.1.4).

Please help me to clarify this. Maybe I am wrong.

    Thanks,

    Rafael

    Rafael,

    Thanks for the inquiry.

First, let me clarify a couple of points from your post, then I will direct you to additional information.

You need not move to Fusion Applications to use Fusion Middleware. The Oracle E-Business Suite Applications Technology Stack is certified with Fusion Middleware. The version of Fusion Middleware that is certified is dependent upon the version of Oracle E-Business Suite.

Oracle E-Business Suite does not maintain MOS Note 1275428.1. I will log a documentation bug so that the owner of this note updates the content accordingly for the EBS use case and solution.

SHA-2 signed PKI certificates are certified with Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3 for inbound and outbound connections. You need not implement a reverse proxy to use SHA-2 signed PKI certificates with Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3 - however, that is a valid option. As previously stated, you need not migrate to Fusion Applications.

You must following the instructions for deploying SHA-2 signed PKI certificates with Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3.Refer to the following for more information:

    http://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/entry/sha_2_signed_pki_certificates

    http://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/entry/using_sha2_signed_certificates_with

    https://support.oracle.com/rs?type=doc&id=376700.1

If you need additional assistance, please update your SR and email me directly.

    Regards,

    Elke

    Hi,

What is the end of premier support for XML Gateway Message Designer 2.6.3 when used with EBS 12.x

I would like to know some information:

1.The EOV for XML Gateway Message Designer 2.6.3 .

    2. What is the current version for XML Gateway Message Designer.

3.What is the upgrade for this and the EOV for upgrade one.

4.We are currently using window12so is this certified on this o/s?

    Thank you,

    Shilpi

    Hello, Shilpi,

I don't know what "EOV" stands for, so I'm assuming that it is a proxy for the end of support.

    1. The XML Gateway Message Designer is an integral part of E-Business Suite. It is covered by the same support dates as its respective EBS release. For example, EBS 12.1.3 is covered by Extended Support until December 2021, so XML Gateway Message Designer for EBS 12.1.3 is covered to the same dates.

You can find all EBS support dates in the "Oracle Applications" document listed here:

    http://www.oracle.com/us/support/lifetime-support/index.html

    2. The latest version is 2.6.3.

    3. There is no "upgrade" -- the latest version is included in EBS 12.1.3.

    4. "Window12" is not a valid Microsoft operating system. Feel free to correct or clarify that.

    Regards,

    Steven
