[Aug 19, 2008 Update: Added time and location for the Middleware Special Interest Group, added the new Meet the Experts session]
OpenWorld 2008 is coming on us a bit earlier this year. It’s going to be another big show. If you plan to join us for this year’s conference and haven’t signed up yet, I hear that hotels are
filling up fast. As usual, I will be presenting on several of the popular topics covered on this blog, participating in various Special Interest Group sessions and expert panels, and having personal meetings with you to discuss E-Business Suite architecture
topics of your choice. Want to get together to talk at OpenWorld?

Room: Moscone West Level 2 Applications Lounge
Date: 2008-09-24
Time: 9:00 AM – approx. 10:45 AM
This will be a roundtable (or “Town Hall”) style discussion with myself, other EBS techstack specialists from Development, and your customer peers in various industries. Bring your questions, concerns, and other hot topics for this session. These tend to be fairly freewheeling discussions, so the agenda’s open. However, in the interest of making sure that we get to everyone’s questions broadly, I’d prefer to conduct in-depth customer-specific architectural reviews in private meetings.
These details sometimes change at the last minute, so make sure that you check the daily conference schedule updates if you plan to
Want to Meet to Discuss Your EBS Environment?
One of the highlights for any conference is meeting with you personally to discuss your E-Business Suite deployments. I’m particularly interested in hearing about your experiences with some of our latest technology stack upgrades and advanced
configurations. If you’re implementing anything new in your environment, such as EBS Release 12, the 11gR1 Database, RAC, Single Sign-On, Web Center, load-balancing, new security features, or anything that you might consider exotic, I’d be very pleased
to meet with you.
In the past, I’ve used these face-to-face meetings at OpenWorld as brainstorming sessions for new techstack requirements, also, so if you have burning questions or unmet operational needs around our technology stack, this is a great opportunity to discuss
these directly with Apps Development. If you give me enough lead time, I might even be able to pull in experts from other areas, too.
Drop me an email if you’d like to get together at OpenWorld.
