Well, this is unexpected. Instead of being in the midst of the OpenWorld conference today, I’m in self-imposed quarantine in my hotel room, having picked up some kind of bug over the last few days in town.

So, I’ll take advantage of the situation and let you know that today is the highlight of the week from my own Apps Techstack Integration team’s perspective. Three of the vital sessions from my team members will be on today:
- 10:45 AM: 10 Things You Can Do Now to Prepare for Oracle Fusion Applications. 2010 Moscone West, Nadia Bendjedou
I believe this session is already completely prebooked and full, alas.
- 12:15 PM: Oracle E-Business Suite Technology Updates. 2009 – 2011 Moscone West, Lisa Parekh
This session will review all of the Apps 11i certifications announced since last year’s OpenWorld, and give sneak previews of all of the interesting and important upcoming certifications. Lisa will also cover new directions, Release 12, and several other techstack certification areas. Full disclosure: I report to Lisa. If you’re a regular reader of this blog, Lisa’s presentation is mandatory.
- 1:45 PM: Deep Dive: Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 New Technology Stack, 2008 Moscone West, Ivo Dujmovic
Ivo will be going into Release 12’s techstack installation and operation in great detail. If you’re curious about how R12’s techstack will work, what’s new, and what you can to do prepare for your Release 12 upgrade, Ivo’s session is mandatory.
- 4:30 PM: Using Oracle Application Server 10g with the E-Business Suite, 2007 Moscone West, Steven Chan
Sick or not, I’ll be covering supported OracleAS 10g configurations with Apps 11 and R12, diving into details about how these integrations work, and will conclude with an in-depth discussion about integrating third-party LDAP and Single Sign-On systems with the E-Business Suite.
