Oracle E-Business Suite Mobile Foundation provides features and components that are used by certain EBS Mobile Applications. Oracle E-Business Suite Mobile Foundation’s Push Notification System consists of a client and a server component to implement push notifications for the following:

  • Oracle Mobile Approvals for Oracle E-Business Suite, when provided to users through enterprise distribution
  • Custom Oracle E-Business Suite mobile apps developed using the Login component from Oracle E-Business Suite Mobile Foundation

What’s New Oracle Mobile Hub?

Oracle Mobile Hub is a cloud based platform to develop and maintain mobile applications. Apart from a rich set of development tools, Oracle Mobile Hub provides backend services such as Storage, Push Notifications, Location, etc.

How is Oracle Mobile Hub used in EBS Mobile Foundation?

EBS Mobile Foundation’s Push Notification Server interfaces with Oracle Mobile Hub to send notifications to Push Notification Client component. In turn, Oracle Mobile Hub connects to the following platform-specific push notification services to send notifications to mobile devices:

  • Apple Push Notification service (APNs) for iOS
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for Android
