Out With the Old, In With the New
As a Firefox user myself, I’m pleased to see that Firefox 2.0.0.15 was released yesterday with thirteen fixes for security-related issues.
Perhaps more significantly, Mozilla announced yesterday that Firefox 2 will be desupported in mid-December, 2008. As noted in ComputerWorld’s article about this browser update, Mozilla supports previous Firefox releases for approximately six months after a major update.
When Will Firefox 3 Be Certified With Apps?
If the clock is ticking for Firefox 2, you obviously need to start thinking about upgrading your end-users to Firefox 3. We’re in the final stages of our certification of FF3 with both Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i and 12. I can’t provide a release date for this certification yet, for the usual reasons. I can tell you that the certification is going well and is proceeding quickly.
You’re welcome to monitor or subscribe to this blog for updates on Firefox 3, which I’ll post as soon as soon as they’re available.
