I am pleased to announce the availability of the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Mobile Applications Release 10 Consolidated Patch for EBS Release 12.2. This consolidated patch includes updated versions of the following EBS Mobile Applications for EBS 12.2:
- Oracle Approvals for EBS (previously known as Oracle Mobile Approvals for Oracle E-Business Suite)
- Oracle Self-Service Human Resources (SSHR) for E-Business Suite (previously known as Oracle Mobile Self-Service Human Resources for Oracle E-Business Suite)
- Oracle Timecards for E-Business Suite (previously known as Oracle Mobile Timecards for Oracle E-Business Suite)
What is New in with EBS Mobile Applications Release 10
The latest versions of Oracle Approvals for EBS, Oracle SSHR for EBS and Oracle Timecards for EBS, are built with Oracle JavaScript Extension Toolkit (JET) technology. Oracle JET is a modular open source JavaScript toolkit based on JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5 design and development principles.
EBS Mobile Applications Release 10 are browser-based applications. Users are not required to download and install an application from a platform specific application store (such as Google Play or the Apple Store). Each EBS mobile application can be accessed as a web page from any device that supports a standard web browser; however, all EBS mobile applications are intended for use from a smart phone mobile device.
How to Obtain EBS Mobile Applications Release 10
Oracle E-Business Suite Mobile Applications Release 10 is available with consolidated Patch 35706735:12.2.0. Patch 35706735:12.2.0 includes the following:
- ATG Consolidated Patch for Mobile Release 10.0, Patch 35481482:R12.ATG_PF.C. This patch provides the latest Oracle Approvals for EBS.
- HR_PF Consolidated Patch for Mobile Release 10.0, Patch 35706722:R12.HR_PF.C. This patch provides the latest Oracle SSHR for EBS and Oracle Timecards for EBS.
- Consolidated Patch for Mobile Release 9, Patch 30144066:12.2.0. This patch includes all enhancements and fixes from the previous consolidated EBS Mobile Release.
Update on MAF Based EBS Mobile Applications
The previous version of the Oracle Approvals application was built using Oracle Mobile Application Framework (MAF). Oracle Mobile Application Framework (MAF) has been in Sustaining Support since June 2023. EBS mobile applications built with Oracle MAF will be in Sustaining Support after June 2024.
As previously described in this blog article, the latest version of Oracle EBS Mobile Applications Release 10 includes is built with Oracle JavaScript Extension Toolkit (JET) technology and is no longer dependent on the Oracle Mobile MAF technology.
