Beginning on July 23rd 2023, Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) patches for Releases 12.2 and 12.1.3 on IBM AIX on Power Systems will be built with a newer version of the IBM XL C/C++ 
compiler (version 16.1). If you plan to patch or upgrade your EBS environment after July 23rd 2023, you must meet all the new tools and operating systems requirements prior to applying new EBS patches generated after this date.
We are announcing this now to give time for you to prepare and to be compliant with all requirements for EBS patches generated after this July 23rd 2023 date.
Please review the documents in the references section of this blog article which includes all new requirements pertaining to the changes in the runtime and utilities packages on IBM AIX on Power Systems. Note that if you have not already done so, you will be required to upgrade to at least AIX 7.1 in order to apply the new required patches.
