If your users are running JRE 7 with auto-update enabled, they will be automatically upgraded to JRE 8 with the January 2015 CPU release on January 20, 2015. This affects Windows and Mac desktops.

If you do not have Auto-Update enabled on your end-users’ desktops, you don’t need to do anything.
JRE 8 is certified with all current EBS releases: EBS 11i, 12.0, 12.1, and 12.2. If you have Auto-Update enabled, you need to apply server-side patches to make your EBS environment compatible with JRE 8. For details, see:
