Our blogging hiatus is over and we’re back online. I’m delighted that Oracle’s cutover to our shiny new blogging system went smoothly. Kudos to our Oracle Asia R&D for all of their efforts in getting everything over the Rubicon, including your valuable comments and questions.

For those interested in these kind of things, we’re now running on Six Apart’s Movable Type Enterprise 1.5  running on top of Oracle’s own Content DB.  Very cool stuff.  Things will get even more interesting later this year when we upgrade to Movable Type Enterprise 4.

    Geek Explanation: Our excellent Oracle Asia R&D team that handled this blog migration has put a redirect layer from the old article URLs to Movable Type’s new URLs. However, articles with multiple departments (e.g. “Release 11i” and “Business Intelligence” generate multiple URLs, and it may not be possible to redirect all of them.
  4. If you’ve linked to specific articles that had special tags attached (due to our old UserLand blogging software quirks), these will likely still work:

The bottom line:
Please check all of your inbound links to existing articles on this blog. It’s likely that they will work. If they don’t, you can always google the article to get the latest link. If all else fails, you can contact me directly for help, naturally.
