We are pleased to announce an update to our technical paper on integrating Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Release 12.2 with Oracle APEX, Version 5.3. Version 5.3 includes additional fixes and refreshed implementation guidance to improve stability.

Note: Before using the updated solution, review page 6 for EBS 12.2 release specific patch requirements. Applying the correct patches to your EBS release helps address known integration issues.

What’s New in the Technical Brief Version 5.3?

Version 5.3 includes the following:

Fixes related to APEX schema registration
Support for pre-spliced custom schemas
References to the latest Oracle Application Framework (OAF) bundle patch

How Do You Upgrade from Version 5.2 to Version 5.3?

If you previously implemented version 5.2, apply the latest patches applicable to your EBS release. For example, on EBS 12.2.14, apply the latest OAF bundle and the required FND and AD standalone patches.

Product Management Director

Santiago is Product Management Director in the Oracle E-Business Suite Technology Group. His current role involves helping Oracle E-Business Suite customers succeed with focus in Oracle Cloud, maintenance and operations (Online Patching, cloning), and integrations (EBS adapter for SOA). Santiago has an Engineering degree in Computer Information Systems and Computing Science. He first joined Oracle in its Ecuadorian subsidiary in 1998, and over the years worked out of Ecuador, Orlando and Chile support centers supporting products as varied as the Oracle database, middleware, E-Business Suite CRM and enterprise applications integration products (AIA). In 2005, Santiago joined the Oracle E-Business Suite Development team in 2005 as a Senior Software Engineer for the Oracle E-Business Suite Integration Products. In 2011, Santiago relocated to Oracle Headquarters in California in a product management role for the Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 key feature: Online Patching. He managed the Release 12.2 Beta program and is a frequent speaker at Oracle conferences and user group meetings. He works hard to retrofit customer feedback into the development lifecycle to provide continued improvement to the products he manages.
