The AutoConfig utility provided with E-Business Suite Release 12 automates a wide variety of deployment options. However, there are a number of optional configurations that AutoConfig doesn’t automate yet. In this initial release, implementation of some of these optional configurations requires additional manual steps or the installation of additional patches.

If you plan to use any of the following deployment options, you may need to perform some additional manual steps:
- Hardware-based load-balancing routers (Note 380489.1)
- Secure Socket Layer (SSL) (Note 376700.1)
- Demilitarized Zones (DMZ) and reverse proxies (Note 380490.1)
- Multiple domain names for the same E-Business Suite environment (Note 380490.1)
- Integration with Oracle Application Server 10g, including:
- Single Sign-On & Oracle Internet Directory 10g (Note 376811.1)
- Portal 10g (Note 380484.1)
- Discoverer 10g (Note 373634.1)
- Web Cache 10g (Note 380486.1)
- Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Automatic Storage Management (ASM) (Note 388577.1)
