Do you want to undertake an Oracle E-Business Suite Technology Stack maintenance operation such as:
  • Integrate your EBS environment with Oracle Access Manager?
  • Expose certain EBS modules to the Internet via a DMZ?
  • Upgrade your 10gR2 database to 11gR1?
We have notes to help with all these questions and many more, but it can sometimes be difficult to find a specific document in our sprawling Knowledge Base on My Oracle Support. How can you identify and locate the one you need?
With this need in mind, we’ve provided a a couple of roadmap documents that list and categorise the most essential Applications Technology Stack notes: Why do we publish standalone Notes? Why do we need all these notes, anyway? While the Online Documentation Library is, and will remain, the primary reference for most of EBS, the sometimes fast-moving world of the technology stack may require some things to be publicised much more rapidly than the library is updated, and in a more specific and targeted manner than could be achieved by updating a particular book. As well as being too slow for critical updates, the library may not be the best forum for some announcements anyway: in particular, about new certifications. Another example is news about recently-introduced components, where there can typically be quite a few changes early on in the component’s life as features are added or bugs fixed. So if you want to keep up to date with developments in the Release 11i or 12 Oracle E-Business Suite technology stacks, check the appropriate roadmap note regularly: their change logs show newly-added documents, with the most recent at the top. And any changes to documents listed in the roadmaps are shown in their own change logs. Related Articles
