certification, here’s a recap of the basics.  Secure Enterprise Search (SES) provides new search capabilities for R12: Apps users can search for E-Business Suite data using a unified search engine, with search results displayed based upon their
Applications responsibilities. Searches can be performed on structured and unstructured data. Notably, search results respect multi-level security, including:


  • Role-based access control (RBAC) functional and data security

  • Product-specific security policies

For example, an authorized E-Business Suite user could use the search screen above to search for “Assets” in “Northpark,” yielding the following results:

Prerequisites

  • Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 version 12.0.4 and higher

  • Oracle Secure Enterprise Search 10.1.8.4

Supported Platforms

Secure Enterprise Search may be optionally installed on standalone external server and integrated with EBS 12.  The operating system platforms supported for the standalone Secure Enterprise Search instance are:

  • Linux x86 (Oracle Enterprise Linux 4, Red Hat Linux 3, 4; SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9)

  • Linux x86-64 (Oracle Enterprise Linux 4, Red Hat Linux 3,4; SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9)
