You can apply any Oracle Internet Directory (OID) bundle patchsets that have been certified at the fourth-level digit to a certified Oracle E-Business Suite release. 

The fifth-level digit in OID versions is not relevant to
E-Business Suite certifications. 

For example, we have certified EBS 12.2 with OID 11.1.1.9. All of the following Oracle Internet Directory patchsets will work with EBS 12.2:

  • Oracle Internet Directory 11.1.1.9.0 (documented certification)
  • Oracle Internet Directory 11.1.1.9.3
  • Oracle Internet Directory 11.1.1.9.160719

This is sometimes shown in our documentation in either of the following ways:

  • Oracle Internet Directory 11.1.1.9
  • Oracle Internet Directory 11.1.1.9.x

The absence of a fifth-digit or the presence of an ‘X’ in the fifth
digit’s place means any fifth-digit level updates may be applied to an Oracle Internet Directory environment integrated with EBS 12.2 without requiring a new
certification.  This applies to all environments, including test and
production environments.
