10gR2 Database Split Configurations for Release 11i

Here’s some good news for those of you interested in E-Business Suite Release 11i split configurations, where the database and application tier servers are running on different operating systems.

Our support for split configurations has been expanded to include database servers running the 10gR2 Database Version 10.2.0.2. This new configuration requires the E-Business Suite 11.5.9 CU2 at minimum, and currently applies to the following operating systems:

• Oracle Enterprise Linux 5 (64-bit) on x86-64
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 (64-bit) on x86-64
• HP-UX Itanium
• IBM Linux on Power
• IBM Linux on System z
  
• Linux Itanium
• Linux x86-64
• Sun Solaris x64
  
• Windows Itanium
• Windows x64
