Steven Chan, Chief Editor

Steven Chan is a Senior Director in the Oracle Applications Technology Integration group.

The Applications Technology Integration group integrates components such as Oracle Application Server into the Oracle E-Business Suite technology stack.

In addition to working with new technology integrations, Steven manages technology adoption programs with selected E-Business Suite customers for new technology in advance of their general availability to the broader public.

Steven has been with Oracle since 1998 and has had responsibility for technology adoption programs for Oracle products such as Oracle Application Server, Balanced Scorecard, Business Intelligence System, Embedded Data Warehouse, and Product Lifecycle Management.

Prior to joining Oracle, Steven has held positions with IBM, Deloitte & Touche Consulting, and other software companies. Steven has almost two decades of IT industry experience and holds an MBA and a B.Sc.

Steven is a two-time recipient of the Oracle Applications User Group 'Ambassador of the Year' Award (2007, 2009), and holds an Oracle ACE designation.

As an expatriate Canadian working in Silicon Valley but living in Central Oregon, Steven views the surreal world of ERP software development with increasingly-bemused eyes.

Prasad Akkiraju

Prasad Akkiraju is a Senior Manager in the Applications Technology Integration organization under Cliff Godwin.

Prasad manages the Technology Certifications team in India, primarily responsible for certifying the Application Server and Database components with E-Business Suite. In addition to working with certifications, Prasad manages the Technology Stack QA team that tests the various release vehicles from Oracle Applications Technology Stack development team.

Prasad has been with Oracle since 2000. He has worked in the Application Server performance and scalability testing team, has been responsible for managing a scalability lab, and has published whitepapers on Application Server services like Forms, Reports, Discoverer and Portal.

Prior to joining Oracle, Prasad has held positions with Sun Microsystems and Digital Equipment Corporation. Prasad has been in the IT industry for 13 years and holds a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Prasad works in Oracle India in Hyderabad. He resides in Hyderabad.

Max Arderius

Max Arderius has been in Oracle since 1996. He began his Oracle career in Argentina where he worked for the Support Organization for 5 years providing on-site assistance for E-Business Suite customers. He acted as solutions architect designing and implementing solutions involving Oracle Technology for a broad range of customers across different countries. He also acted as Service Delivery Manager for critical customers in South America.

In 2001, he was relocated to Colorado where he lived for a brief period of time and finally moved to Orlando, Florida where he is currently based. At present, he works in the Applications Technology Group for E-Business Suite Development managing a team of developers in India and United States. His team is responsible for the design, maintenance and enhancements of Rapid Install, Upgrade, Rapid Clone and the Applications Management Pack for E-Business Suite.

He has been a stable speaker in the Oracle Open World since 2005 and in 2007 he joined the ATG Staff for the Oracle Applications Users Group providing Technical Sessions related with Life Cycle Management of E-Business Suite Applications.

Max Arderius has a B.S degree in Computing Science and he is starting his Masters in Business Administration in 2009.

Rekha Ayothi

Rekha Ayothi is a Product Manager in Oracle E-Business Suite Applications Technology Group. ATG provides the technology framework to develop, manage and integrate E-Business Suite Applications.

Rekha has been with Oracle as part of ATG Product Management team since 2007. She is responsible for product management of integration related products - XML Gateway, E-Commerce Gateway, Integrated SOA Gateway and more recently, Web ADI. She holds Master in Computer Applications degree and is a Gold Medalist in B.Sc.

She works in Oracle India, Hyderabad. She has recently been to Kashmir (India) and is ever since, in love with its natural scenery.

Rakha Ayothi email

Srinivas Chaganti

Srinivas Chaganti is a Principal Software Engineer in the Oracle Applications Technology Integration group. He is responsible for the design, maintenance and enhancements of AutoConfig and related configuration tools for Oracle E-Business Suite.

Srinivas has been with Oracle since December 2005 and has over 8 years of experience in the software industry. He started his career as a developer at OSI Tecnhologies, Hyderabad working on building the eBizmailer email marketing platform.

Srinivas works at Oracle India located in Hyderabad, India.

Ada Constanzo-Muller

Ada Constanzo-Muller is a Senior Manager in the Oracle Applications Technology Integration group. In particular she manages the TXK template development team, a global team in charge of configuration projects and configuration related bug fixing for Oracle Applications Release 11i and Release 12. Her team also provides the installation scripts use by the Applications Platform Group team to stage the different Oracle Homes shipped via Oracle Applications Rapid Install. Her team works closely with the TXK AutoConfig engine team; the templates her team produces are instantiated by the AutoConfig engine.

Ada has been with Oracle since March 1994 and has had individual contributor and managerial responsibilities within Oracle. She started her Oracle career in the Applications Porting division porting Oracle Applications (starting with Applications 10.5) to different platforms. Ada has also worked in the Applications Administration (AD) development team and the Platform Management Kit (PKM) team (base applications release team). She spent a lot of her time in PKM performing applications upgrades from 10.7 to 11.0 and then to 11.5 with databases with sizes of up to 3 Terabytes.

Prior to joining Oracle, Ada worked in a private company developing proprietary newsroom software, and has worked in the defense industry working in signal processing projects. Ada has more than two decades in the software development industry where she has held roles in all areas of the industry, first as a developer coding in PL/1, Ada, C, Perl; porting various software systems to different UNIX platforms, and as a development manager. She holds an M.S. in Computer Science and a B.Sc in Mathematics. She is also fluent in Spanish.

Ramya Damodaran

Ramya Damodaran is a Senior Software Engineer in the Oracle Application Technology Integration group. She is part of the AutoConfig team and is involved in maintenance, design and implementation of AutoConfig projects.

Ramya started her career with Oracle in August 2005 and works at Oracle India, Hyderabad. She holds an M.Tech in Computer Applications from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Ivo Dujmovic

Ivo Dujmovic is the Director of Oracle Applications Technology Integration Development. Ivo joined Oracle in the Applications Technology Group in 1997.

For 3 years, he was with the Performance group, working on improving the Internet Computing Architecture's performance, as well as coordinating uptake of database features within Oracle Applications. He then joined the newly formed Technology Integration group, where he has since worked on integration of new technologies used by Oracle Applications, their infrastructure, support, and certifications. Currently, Ivo's team is responsible for the configuration of technology components via AutoConfig (used in install, cloning, OAM/AMP) and the creation of patched Oracle Home images used for Rapid Install.

Ivo holds a BS in computer science and in mathematics from Yale University.

Noby Joseph

Noby Joseph is a Principal Software Engineer in the Oracle Applications Technology Integration group,  and spends the majority of his time on Advanced technology stack configurations with Oracle E-Business Suite releases.

Noby has been with Oracle since 2000 and has over 10 years of experience in the software industry. He started his career as a developer at Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Bangalore working on SCADA systems and then moved to Oracle USA. At Oracle, he spend first three years of his career in the Product Line Engineering division responsible for porting Oracle E-Business Suite Software to various Unix platforms, then moved on to Oracle Applications Technology Integration group.

Uma Prabhala

Uma has over fourteen years of experience in the Enterprise Software industry and has worked in companies that include:

  • Sabre Technologies (a subsidiary of American Airlines, at that time, in Dallas, TX),
  • Booz Allen and Hamilton (Chicago, IL),
  • Siebel Systems HQ (San Mateo) and most recently in Oracle IDC.

She has a degree in Electrical engineering and a Masters of Management (MBA) from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University, Illinois).

She has worked in core technology areas of enterprise management, data warehousing, business analytics and web-based application design and development. She has extensive functional experience in various roles in her career spanning from software engineering, project management, strategy consulting and for the past eight plus years in product management.

She was the Product Manager for Siebel Analytics in HQ (now OBI EE) from year 2000 till about 2007 after which she joined Oracle's Hyderabad-based India Development Center to lead the Applications Technology Group's product management team.  In her current role, Uma is responsible for the Applications Technology Group's product planning, product specifications and outbound marketing initiatives.

Nick Quarmby

Nick is a Principal Support Engineer in the Installation and Configuration Management (ICM) competency of the Applications Technology Group (ATG).  He's been with Oracle since 1996, always working within the ATG area. Nick performs the Advanced Resolution Engineer role which means he contributes to long-running or complex Service Requests. He's also co-developed several training workshops aimed at fellow ATG engineers which he's been lucky enough to deliver in lots of interesting locations across Europe. He's also delivered workshops in Egypt, India, Florida, and Colorado. Nick splits his working week between the London City Office and the Oracle Thames Valley Park campus in Reading, Berkshire, about 45 miles west of London.

Prior to working at Oracle Nick worked at a small software company maintaining an HR application working under Microsoft Windows and Novell Netware. The application he worked with was ported to Oracle which was his first exposure to relational databases. When Nick started at Oracle the 10SC product (the first Oracle Applications Forms 4.5 front end to run on Microsoft Windows) was just getting established.

In his spare time Nick likes to study the brooding British sky and wonder if the good weather will last long enough to go for a ride on his motorcycle.

Mike Shaw

Mike Shaw is an Advanced Resolution Engineer, working in the Oracle Support Advanced Technologies team out of the Thames Valley Park offices in Reading, England.

Mike joined Oracle in 1997, initially with the Financials Support team but moved to the Applications Technology Support after 1 year to better match his technical focus.

His career in IT started August 1979, always being in a customer-facing Support or Implementation role for Accounting systems.

Allison Sparshott

Allison Sparshott is a Principal Software Engineer in the Applications Technology Integration organization under Cliff Godwin. Since joining the Applications Technology Integration team in June 2005, she has been responsible for a variety of technology certifications from Web Browser to Oracle Application Server and Database.

Allison has been with Oracle since 1994. She began her Oracle career in the support organisation in EMEA where she worked for four years supporting the Applications Technology products. She was then responsible for the inception, development and running of the EMEA Applications Test Centre, responsible for testing Oracle Applications in the National languages for EMEA. She then went on to work for two years in the DDR team, working with MLS (Multi-Lingual Support) and the UTF8/Unicode character set, creating configuration documentation and FAQs for UTF8 with Oracle Applications. She then worked for 3 years as a Product Manager for Oracle Workflow, working on product feature design in the Worklow Notifications area and assisting support in resolving technical issues with Oracle Workflow and developing a 'Supporting Oracle Workflow' course for support analysts.

Vani Subramanian

Vani Subramanian is a Senior Software Engineer in the Oracle Applications Technology Integration group. She is part of the AutoConfig (TXK) template development team and is involved in configuration projects and configuration management for Oracle Applications Release 11i and Release 12.

Vani has been with Oracle since December 2005 and has over 5.5 years of experience in the software industry. She holds an M.C.A from Madras University, Chennai.

Keith M. Swartz

Keith M. Swartz is a Senior Software Architect in the Oracle Applications Technology Integration group, and spends the majority of his time on lifecycle management and collaboration integration strategies for the forthcoming Fusion Applications products. So if his writings seem vague and leave you wanting for more, just be patient, because there's much more to come!

Keith has been with Oracle since 1993, and has spent nearly the entire time in the bowels of the E-Business products: first as a support analyst for the AOL and AutoInstall products, then later, as product manager for AutoInstall. He was also the founder of the Systems Assurance Group for candidate release testing, and one of the original designers of the Certify application that has since become a staple of Oracle's MetaLink offerings.

As is customary for anyone who writes in this blog, Keith is also a remote worker, taking root in Seattle, Washington, and only occasionally travelling to Redwood Shores for brief respites from the rain.

Andy Tremayne

Andy Tremayne is an Applications Performance Architect working in the Applications Performance Group (APG), which is a part of Oracle Development.

He has worked with Oracle E-Business Suite since 1992 and with performance since 1998. His primary focus is working with customers on system performance issues, but also works with several groups in Oracle.

In addition to being a fully qualified Electrical and Electronic Engineer, he holds a BSc (Hons) in Computing and Informatics, which focuses on the development of information systems in a business context.

He has presented several performance papers and been a panel member at several Oracle affiliated conferences and is the author of the Oracle Applications Performance Tuning Handbook.

Jim Van Heel

Jim is an 11i Applications Technology specialist in the Oracle Field Sales organization. Since joining Oracle in 1998, Jim has worked with big and small customers in the Utilities, Communications and Financial Services industries.

Jim works out of the Manhattan office, but he's on the road spreading the good word most of the time. One day, his sailboat will be back in the water.

Sara Woodhull

Sara Woodhull is a Principal Product Analyst in the Oracle Applications Technology Group (ATG).

The Applications Technology Group integrates components such as Oracle Application Object Library (AOL) and Oracle Application Framework (OAF) into the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i and Release 12 technology stack.

Sara has been with Oracle as part of ATG since 1989 and has trained generations of Oracle developers on AOL and later OAF.  She has also had responsibility for product management, documentation and curriculum development for AOL and OAF, specializing in flexfields and custom development topics.  She regularly contributes to Oracle OpenWorld in San Francisco.

Sara works at Oracle HQ in Redwood Shores, CA, and she strongly prefers sunny weather.

Sanchit Jindal

Sanchit Jindal is a Project Lead and Database Administrator in the Applications Technology Integration group. Sanchit spends the majority of his time on new technology integration certifications with Oracle E-Business Suite releases.

Sanchit has been with Oracle since 2004. He has 7 years of experience in the software industry with overall experience spanning more than a decade including Business Development. He has worked as a production DBA during his consulting days.

Prior to joining Oracle, Sanchit has worked for Yamaha India, IRIS Software and other companies. Sanchit holds a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and is an Oracle Certified Database Administrator.

Sanchit works at Oracle India located in Hyderabad, India.

Avanish Srivatsav

Avanish started his career working with Oracle technology at Tata Consultancy Services.   He joined Oracle Support Services five years ago, where he  supported database-related areas such as Real Application Clusters, DataGuard, and performance tuning.  Building on that experience, he moved to the Oracle Applications Performance Group, where he's been helping Apps customers optimize performance for the past three years.

Nilesh Patel

Nilesh Patel is a Senior Database Administrator in the Oracle Applications Technology Integration group. He spends the majority of his time on new technology integration certifications with Oracle E-Business Suite releases.

Nilesh has been with Oracle since 2004. Nilesh has over six years of experience in software industry, working as a Developer and production DBA at various customer sites. Prior to Oracle he worked for Hitachi and Applitech Solution Inc.

Nilesh works in the Oracle India Development Centre office located in Hyderabad, India.
