Leverage Your Options With Extended Support
Take advantage of the security, compliance, performance, virtualization, and observability advances with Oracle Solaris 11 Operating System. Not to mention the continuous delivery with frequent, simpler, and less disruptive delivery of new features for faster adoption and no need for re-qualifications.
You have options. Moving your full OS stack to Oracle Solaris 11, natively or with virtualization, will provide the highest access to the latest technology and, if you are not quite ready to execute the move to Oracle Solaris 11, Oracle has updated the Oracle Solaris 10 Extended Support end date to January 2025.
With the extra time provided through Extended Support, you may choose to take your Oracle Solaris 10 environments with you in an Oracle Solaris 10 Zone running on the Oracle Solaris 11 OS. The least amount of disruption to your Oracle Solaris 10 SPARC environments would be to move the Oracle Solaris 10 environment to guest domains (LDOMs) managed by Oracle VM Server for SPARC. See Extended Support for the Oracle Solaris 10 OS for more information.
Whichever is the best option for you and your business, Oracle Support is here to help with tools, expertise, and assistance. Check out the below resources to get started today.
