Oracle AI Database@AWS/Azure/Google Cloud brings Oracle Exadata infrastructure into hyperscaler data centers, creating new choices for where applications and databases run. Understanding those choices starts with the fundamentals: how the service is onboarded, how databases are provisioned, connected, and managed, and how data is protected and migrated.
To help individuals and organizations build this knowledge, we are pleased to announce the Oracle Multicloud Foundations Associate course and certification. The learning path introduces multicloud concepts and Oracle’s multicloud offerings, including Oracle AI Database@AWS, Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud, and Oracle AI Database@Azure.

Start with the Foundations
The Oracle Multicloud Foundations course is designed for technical and non-technical professionals who want a structured introduction to Oracle’s multicloud offerings. It’s a good fit if you are:
- A cloud beginner exploring multicloud concepts and use cases.
- A database professional looking to understand Oracle database services across cloud providers.
- An IT professional learning the architecture, onboarding, and operations foundations of multicloud.
- A business professional who needs to understand Oracle’s multicloud offerings and the options they provide.
No hands-on experience is required. The focus is on building foundational knowledge you can use to understand the services and participate in multicloud discussions with greater confidence.
What You Will Learn
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Explain Oracle multicloud concepts, solutions, and use cases.
- Describe Oracle AI Database architecture and multicloud interconnects.
- Understand onboarding, access, offers, billing, and consumption.
- Identify database services and provisioning, connectivity, management, and monitoring basics.
- Understand resilience, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Recognize migration methods, including ZDM, and data protection and security basics.
The course is organized into six modules, moving from multicloud concepts to architecture, onboarding, database lifecycle management, resilience, migration, and security.
Module 1 Introduction to Multicloud
Start with the concepts that underpin Oracle’s multicloud offerings. This module introduces Oracle Multicloud Solutions and multicloud use cases, helping you understand the scenarios these solutions address and how they fit into a cloud strategy.
Module 2 Multicloud Architecture Foundations
Explore the architecture behind Oracle AI Database offerings across cloud service providers (CSPs). This module covers Oracle AI Database@CSP architecture and multicloud interconnect architecture, building a foundation for understanding how the services and cloud environments connect.

Module 3 Onboarding Foundations for Oracle AI Database@CSP
Understand what teams need to get started. This module walks through roles, permissions, and access requirements, followed by the Oracle AI Database@CSP onboarding workflow. It also introduces private and public offers, along with billing and consumption, so you can understand both the access and commercial foundations of onboarding.
Module 4 Oracle Database Services and Lifecycle Management for Oracle AI Database@CSP
Get to know the database services covered in the course: Autonomous AI Database, Exadata Database Service, and Base Database Service. This module introduces provisioning, connectivity, management, and monitoring, helping you understand the activities involved throughout the database lifecycle.
Module 5 Data Resilience and High Availability Services on Oracle AI Database@CSP
Learn the foundations of keeping data available and recoverable. This module covers backup and restore operations, Autonomous Recovery Service, and Oracle Maximum Availability Architecture. Together, these topics introduce the options and principles behind database resilience, high availability, and disaster recovery.
Module 6 Migration and Security
Explore the foundations of moving existing databases to Oracle’s multicloud offerings and protecting them. This module introduces migration foundations and approaches, including migration to Oracle AI Database@CSP using ZDM. It also covers data protection and security configuration, helping you understand key considerations for a database migration and the security of the target environment.
Validate Your Knowledge with Oracle Multicloud Foundations Certification
After completing the course, learners can validate their knowledge through the Oracle Multicloud Certified Foundations Associate certification. The Oracle Multicloud Foundations Associate exam (1Z0-1144-26) assesses understanding of Oracle’s multicloud offerings, including Oracle AI Database@AWS, Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud, and Oracle AI Database@Azure.
The certification is designed for technical and non-technical professionals and requires no hands-on experience. Basic knowledge of cloud computing and database concepts is helpful.
The multiple-choice exam consists of 40 questions to be answered within 60 minutes, with a passing score of 65%. The six exam objectives and their weightages are summarized below.
| Exam objective | Weightage |
| Explaining Oracle’s Multicloud Solutions | 10% |
| Understanding Multicloud Architecture | 20% |
| Onboarding Foundations for Oracle AI Database@CSP | 20% |
| Describing Database Services and Lifecycle Management | 20% |
| Explaining Data Resilience and High Availability | 15% |
