We are thrilled to announce the general availability of the OCI 2024 Networking Professional Certification. This general availability follows a successful beta release, during which we gathered invaluable feedback that helped us refine and perfect the current course curriculum and exam. 

The Journey from Beta to General Availability (GA)

In September 2023, during Oracle CloudWorld in Las Vegas, we launched the beta exam for this Certification. Our beta exam was taken by a diverse group of participants from various sectors of the IT industry. Their feedback was instrumental in shaping the GA course structure, content, and supporting materials. We are grateful to our beta testers who provided detailed insights, enabling us to tailor the certification to meet the real-world demands of networking professionals.

What’s New?

We launched a beta version of the course along with the beta exam last year. However, the beta version had limited learning material coverage. The GA course offers an extensive and comprehensive learning path tailored to enhance your expertise and practical skills for OCI networking services. This learning path includes:

  • Extensive Course Material: With over 60+ new lessons, the certification covers a wide range of topics, ensuring a thorough understanding of OCI networking services, principles and practices.
  • Practical Demos: course includes 40+ demos, providing real-world applications and insights into OCI networking scenarios. These demos are designed to illustrate complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Hands-on Labs: course includes 18 dedicated labs in an OCI environment, simulating real-life challenges and tasks. These labs are crucial for developing hands-on experience, a key component for mastering OCI networking skills. Our lab environment will be available by early March 2024. 
  • Exam Preparation: The combination of lessons, demos, and labs ensures a well-rounded preparation for the certification exam, equipping you with both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to excel. The certification learning path also includes exam preparation material and a sample practice exam.

Who Should Enroll?

The OCI Networking Professional Certification is intended for networking professionals and cloud architects designing and implementing scalable networking solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

The target candidate for this certification is expected to have at least twelve months of hands-on experience with OCI (24 months is recommended) and familiarity with general Networking concepts. The certification exam validates networking professionals’ ability to complete the following tasks:

  • Plan and design OCI networking and connectivity solutions
  • Design and optimize hybrid and multicloud networking architectures
  • Implement and operate secure OCI networking and connectivity solutions
  • Migrate various types of workloads to OCI
  • Troubleshoot OCI networking and connectivity issues
