Introduction

Solidifying the power of AI in OIC is a big focus of our 26.01 release, along with constantly enhancing our core iPaaS offering. Before looking at 26.01 in detail, here’s a quick recap of the plethora of AI driven features we released in 2025.

AI Features released in 2025

AI Assistant

Use our AI Assistant to auto-create projects and integrations. Creating and maintaining good documentation is not one of your fortes? Then let our AI Assistant do that for you. This turbocharges your business automation development.

Having issues sometimes deciphering technical error messages at runtime? Then let out Assistant translate such into natural language.

Agent Tools

During 2025, we gave you the ability to expose OIC Project Integrations as AI Agent Tools. With just one click that integration that creates purchase orders in Fusion ERP can be exposed as a tool to third party Agents via MCP. This is a huge value add, the ability to easily expose your enterprise systems of record processes to 3rd party AI Agents.

AI Agents

Also during last year, we included the ability to create your own AI Agents in OIC Projects. This was another major milestone on or continuing AI journey; another of which was the introduction of Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) – In Oracle Integration, human in the loop is designed as an approval orchestration tool to obtain human approval, feedback and oversight in agentic AI powered automation solutions. Human in the loop supports agentic AI by involving humans at critical decision points.

You can now create 2 artefacts within the context of Human in the loop –

Workflow – defining how the human will interact.

Form – defining the UI form, through which the human will interact.

Net, net, we have accomplished so much in 2025; you will see the same focus in 2026, so do look forward to more compelling functionality in this space.

Now to the 26.01 new features…

26.01 New Features

OIC Projects

Projects are the key to all the compelling new features in OIC3. For customers upgraded from OIC Gen2, OIC3 projects are something you really need to uptake. Projects contain much more than just your integration related artifacts; they also include – Events, RPA, Decisions, AI Agents, B2B and OIC for Healthcare. Design time RBAC can be applied to projects, so each team of developers can have their own view of OIC, if that is what you require. The ability to share artifacts between projects, is also a great plus – define only once and use everywhere. Many artifacts are already shareable; with 26.01 you can now share OIC Events between projects.

This release also heralds the inclusion of AI Agents in the OIC project lifecycle – Agents can now be included in your OIC deployments, along with the the OIC components.

OIC File Server

26.01 heralds in a couple of very useful new features. These include enhanced support for File Server logging; logging events such as file created, moved, deleted etc. The File Server Native Action now supports enhanced sorting support (sort based on date modified), another ask from many customers.

We have a service limit on file server concurrent requests; with 26.01, this limit will also be surfaced in OIC Observability.

OIC Observability

We have done a lot of work in this space over the last year or so. Our goal has always been to surface the right observability information in the right context to OIC administrators. This makes it very easy for admins to manage and monitor their OIC service instances. However, many of our customers have a fleet of OIC instances; for such customers, OCI Log Analytics is a very compelling offering, as it can allow you to monitor OIC at fleet level. With 26.01, we are making it even easier for customers to pump OIC activity stream data to OCI Log Analytics. This will be a one-click operation in your OCI console for OIC.

New Service Metrics for OIC

3 new service metrics have been introduced for OIC – All OIC Service Metrics can be accessed via the OCI Console for your OIC instance.

The 3 new metrics are – AsyncInboundRequestsDepth—The number of requests in the async queue.
FileserverInboundConnections—The current number of open sessions for OIC File Server.
SchedulerTriggeredInstancesCount—The number of requests for scheduled integrations.

Connectivity

New Adapters

  • OpenSearch Adapter : enables secure, seamless connectivity between enterprise data and AI agents by powering vector search and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) use cases.
  • NetSuite REST Adapter: REST-based connectivity for NetSuite, aligned with NetSuite’s transition from SOAP, supporting JSON, SuiteQL, RESTlets, and OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code Credentials.
  • Google Sheets Adapter: Partner-developed adapter enabling spreadsheet creation, data operations, batch processing, and OAuth-based access to Google Sheets.
Refer to the Google Sheets Adapter User Guide for usage patterns.

Enhancements to existing Adapters

  • REST Adapter – AI-Powered Auto Configuration
  • Oracle ATP Adapter Enhancement – Support for AI Vector Search
  • Document Understanding – Custom model support for key/value extraction.
  • Vision – Custom models for real-time object detection.
  • Speech – Updated wizards and improved sentiment/transcription workflows.
  • OpenAI Adapter – Document upload and structured JSON output for downstream automation.
  • ADW & ATP Adapter Enhancement – Certification on Oracle Database@Azure
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Adapter Enhancement – Return Response Header Support
  • Shopify GraphQL Adapter Enhancement – Query Customization Improvements

Process

Unified Identity Application

There is lots happening in the Process space, with 26.01 bringing in a Unified Identity Application, i.e. Process will use the same one as core OIC. This will simplify role management and ensure no more need for role synchronization.

Remove Process Automation from Oracle Integration

OIC is a toolkit, and we make it very simple for you to add/remove components. This addition comes with 26.01.

Process Instance Tracking

The process instance tracking page in the OPA Workspace is now organized into two focused tabs, making it simpler to find exactly what you’re looking for.

RPA

New 26.01 features for RPA include several interesting features focusing on Robot resiliency, observability and management. Find the detailed RPA blog here.
