Announcing the OCI 2023 Certified Security Professional Certification and Course

We are excited to share that the OCI 2023 certified Security Professional certification and course is now available. This certification is designed specifically for security professionals and solution architects who want to learn how to use OCI core security services to build secure cloud environments for applications and resources on OCI.

What's new in the OCI 2023 Certified Security Professional?

• Hands-on Performance (HPE) Exam: The certification exam now includes a hands-on performance section with two challenges to be completed using the provided OCI environment. This allows you to showcase your practical hands-on skills. This exam also includes multiple-choice questions, though there are fewer multiple choice questions than before. • New Exam Prep lessons for HPE Exam: A completely new Exam Prep section has been introduced to assist you in preparing for the hands-on performance-based exam. It includes walkthroughs on 7 scenarios to  help you get prepared for the performance-based exam format . Each scenario has a certain number of tasks to be completed and we walk through these tasks for each of the scenarios. You should pay special attention to these and ideally perform these tasks using the lab guides available with the course. Here is the link to the exam prep lesson.  

• Coverage of recently launched services: The certification now covers all the latest services such as Threat Intelligence, Cloud Guard Threat Detector, Network Firewall, and Organization Management. Additionally, new demos have been included to provide a better understanding of these services.

• Enhanced Hands-on Labs: A new set of hands-on labs has been added to the course, providing you with a better practice experience to reinforce your learning. We have 16 labs available and these labs guides are available within the respective modules in the course. Ideally, you should watch lessons and demos and perform labs in your own tenancy. That will really help reinforce your learning on a particular topic.

• Improved course structure: The entire course has been revamped to ensure that it is organized into smaller and more manageable modules. In our experience, shorter modules allow for more effective learning and comprehension.

• Expert Tips: Expert tips have been incorporated to provide guidance beyond the course content. These tips will help you make the most out of your learning experience and gain valuable insights.

• Ask your Instructor (AYI): If you have any questions or need clarification during the course, utilize the "Ask Your Instructor" feature. It is a widget within the course using which you can ask questions and receive a response within 24 hours from the instructors.
