And that’s pretty much it! the course is designed to be short (~6 hours long) and can be completed easily within a week (depending on how hectic your schedule is). You can start this course with no specific gen AI knowledge and post-completion have mastery over OCI Generative AI service along with a solid understanding on LLMs and LLM application stack.

The certification exam consists of 50 questions to be answered in 90 mins. The pass percentage is 68% (34 questions). OCI Generative AI Professional Hands-On Labs

The OCI Generative AI Professional 2025 Certification has been updated to include self-paced labs. Throughout the program, learners will engage in six hands-on labs, applying these concepts in real-world scenarios. Labs include deploying an OCI compute instance, experimenting with OCI’s pre-trained AI models, implementing RAG workflows, and integrating LangChain with Oracle Database 23ai to build an AI-powered chatbot. We are excited to announce expanded model  and Dedicated AI Cluster Units support in OCI Generative AI. These updates bring enhanced capabilities for fine-tuning, hosting, and deploying generative AI models at scale, making it easier for enterprises to leverage state-of-the-art AI technology in their applications. With these updates, OCI Generative AI now supports additional models, including cohere.command-r, cohere.command-r-plus, Llama-3.3-70b-instruct and many others. These updates will also better help understanding the compute requirements and pricing for hosting and fine-tuning models.
