What a week we had in San Francisco at Oracle OpenWorld! From the dozens of engaging breakout sessions to the illuminating keynotes by Larry Ellison, Steve Miranda, and Safra Catz, I am pumped to see what lies ahead—especially for Oracle HCM Cloud. More than ever, it’s been a treat to see how our customers use our HCM solutions not just on their own, but also in conjunction with our ERP and CX solutions, allowing them to drive better employee and customer experiences. Given all the progress showcased at OpenWorld, I want to recap the product highlights that we’ve promised to deliver to our customers in the coming months as a part of the Fall 2019 Product Update. But first I get to share some great news.
Oracle HCM Cloud named a Leader again in the Gartner Magic Quadrant

Conversational Experiences with the Oracle Digital Assistant
In the Spring, you’ll remember that we introduced the Oracle Digital Assistant. For our Fall iteration, we’ve added powerful new capabilities, which allow:

LinkedIn Profile Import and Recruiter System Connect
We’re particularly excited to announce a new partnership with LinkedIn, the professional social network with 590 million users and counting.
LinkedIn Profile Import is an industry-first feature that allows employees to import information directly from their LinkedIn profile into their talent profile in Oracle HCM Cloud. Employees directly benefit by gaining the capability to build their own brand within their company, while organizational leaders benefit by gaining a much clearer understanding of the makeup of their talent pool. The payoffs to both the organization and employee are substantial.
We are also solving the common recruiting challenge of toggling back and forth between different systems by integrating LinkedIn Recruiter with our own recruiting solutions. Recruiter System Connect increases recruiter efficiency and accelerates the talent acquisition process.
Employee engagement and collaboration are critical to facilitating workplace success. In response, we’ve developed Connections, a new solution to help employees build better relationships by combining a directory with an organization chart that showcases interests and skills. The platform serves as an internal social network where employees can also write on each other’s personal walls and continue their conversations, long after meetings have concluded.
Change happens. People get married, move into a new home, or need to change tax withholdings. We’ve simplified what is generally a complicated operation with Event-Based Processes, which combines checklists and to-do lists between Oracle HCM Cloud and other systems. The end result accelerates:
HCM Experience Design Studio
We’ve expanded HCM Experience Design Studio, which now gives HR teams even more power to configure advanced HR processes without needing to involve IT. Use cases include:
Self-Service Tools for Position Management
Because HR can get increasingly complex, depending on the industry, we’ve created the tools to handle complex union contracts, time management, data privacy, and compliance requirements.
We address these challenges by deploying modern and intuitive self-service capabilities, letting HR managers and professionals configure and manage position-related details in one centralized place. These features span HR, compensation, benefits, and time and labor, fulfilling such use cases as onboarding rules, seniority rules, disciplinary actions, termination rules, and eligible jobs.

The innovations mentioned above are only a handful that we’ve delivered in the past six months. I’m very proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish, and look forward to reporting more exciting news when we deliver our next product update.
