This blog article is Part 2 of 7 in a series of blog articles covering the roadmap for Oracle E-Business Suite Release (EBS) 12.2 certification with Oracle Database 23ai (DB 23ai).

Since the project to certify EBS 12.2 with DB 23ai has been active for many months now, we can share with you planning guidance.

What Can You Do Now To Get Your EBS Environment Ready for DB23ai?

If you have not already done so, you should upgrade to Oracle Database 19c (DB 19c) as soon as possible for the following reasons:

  • There is currently no direct path upgrade from Oracle Database 12cR1 or 11gR2 to DB 23ai. If you plan to upgrade to DB 23ai, you can upgrade from DB 19c or perform an export/import from 12cR1/11gR2. For more information, see Oracle Database Releases That Support Direct Upgrade in the Oracle Database Upgrade Guide.
  • Premier Support and Extended Support have ended for Oracle Database 12.1.0.2 and 11.2.0.4.
